Slightly bitter and astringent, can be sweetened with honey, stevia or brown sugar. Obtained from the leaves and twigs of the Cistus Ladanifer plant, native to the south of Portugal.

Cistus has been historically used for a number of applications, in the form of tea, poultice, inhaled or ingested.
